Serbian Chicken Soup 🥣More chicken flavour an Serbian Chicken Soup 🥣More chicken flavour and less actual chicken meat. Depends how you like your soup, you can make this soup with shredded chicken meat or just use the meat as flavouring. This soup is made with chicken wings, that are boiled and cooked with the carrots, parsnips, seasonings and semolina dumplings. You can remove the chicken wings, cut out the meat pieces and put them back in the soup. I prefer to just leave the soup as is, and enjoy the flavour rather than the meat.Either way, it's a super delicious recipe. Inspired by the Serbian chicken and semolina dumpling soup. Some of my dumplings fell apart in the cooking process 😋 but thats okay, it happens and its still delicious. The recipe is up on the blog 🙂

Ledene Kocke / Ice CubesThis refreshing dessert Ledene Kocke / Ice CubesThis refreshing dessert is one of my childhood favourites. It' not one of those recipes that we ate on special occasions but one that we asked my mum to make often. When we moved to NZ we continued asking for Ledene Kocke on a regular basis. It didnt matter if it was summer or winter, we enjoyed eating it whenever. And I have continued to make it at home as well.Made with a chocolatey sponge, topped with homemade custard and then a layer of chocolate - this dessert is divine! You have to eat it cold, there is no other way 🙂If you want to make it, the recipe is on the blog with all the details.

Serbian Beef Goulash This wonderfully flavoursom Serbian Beef Goulash This wonderfully flavoursome beef goulash is a staple of Serbian cuisine. Different parts of Serbia will have their own way of making goulash. But even with some tweaks, it is the tender meat cooked in a aromatic sauce which makes this dish so popular. This recipe is how I have grown up eating goulash. Made with simple ingredients, cooked in water and seasonings. The dish is slow cooked for a while, about 2 hours. This allows the meat to tenderise and the sauce to thicken. All you need is 15 or 20 minutes to prep, and let your stove do the rest.We almost always eat goulash with mashed potatoes. But serving it with bread is also so delicious! The sauce from the goulash is perfect for dipping. If you want to try it, the recipe is on the blog.
